NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals addressed to the Mayor and City Council will be received at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Cumberland, Maryland 21502, until but not after 2:00 p.m., local time, on June 1, 2016. Proposals will be publicly opened and read at 2:30 p.m. on that date in the Council Chamber at City Hall. All proposals must be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope, plainly marked on the outside thereof, 2016 Grass Mowing Contract- Non Residential City Owned Properties A "MANDATORY PREBID SESSION for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions of parties interested in constructing the work relative to Construction Details will be conducted at 2:00 PM May 23, 2016 at the Municipal Service Center 215 Bowen Street, Cumberland, MD 21502. This will be the only opportunity for questions. A Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Mayor and City Council reserves the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained from the Department of Engineering 20 Bedford Street RM 343 or by email kim.root@cumberlandmd.gov or maybe obtained at the Mandatory PreBid Meeting.
